Reflecting upon our emotional experience of buying our first home in this crazy Bay Area market, we have the great team at Platt Inc. to thank. Cameron and Nicole are a power team. Individually they are strong agents and when combined they are unstoppable. Key strengths of the Platts that will get the job done with flying colors: ​- ​They know the neighborhoods well. With the current insanity of the Bay Area real estate market, we had to expand our search radius and the local knowledge they provided was crucial to helping us identify areas and neighborhoods we should focus on that suited our situation. ​- ​They have a great reputation and a large network. We can’t count how many times a seller agent’s face lit up with enthusiasm when we mentioned Cameron and Nicole. They all had great things to say and have had positive interactions with them in the past. This is especially advantageous because they know when an offer comes from the Platts, it will be strong and clean. Nicole has a great professional relationship with the selling agent of the house we just purchased which really helped! ​- ​They were responsible with our money. They were very sensible when it comes to writing offers, being cognizant of fair market value over speculative inflated value because of the current market. Cameron’s law degree came in handy during negotiations and drafting our contracts. ​- ​Patient and Knowledgable. Let’s put it this way…we had a lot of questions being new to the Bay Area. Cameron was great to work with both when I bought my house in Oakland 9 years ago and again when I sold it recently. He has always been very responsive to emails, calls, and even some texts. Him and his team are very active in the Oakland area and will work to get you what you want for the best deal. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Nicole and Cam helped us with our first home purchase here in Oakland. Having relocated from the East Coast recently, and being first-time homebuyers, we had very little experience with the market or the process. Cam and Nicole were referred through a friend, and we couldn't have been happier. They did a great job guiding us through the process, setting realistic expectations while making every effort to accommodate our needs and budget. They were both extremely responsive and great about communicating clearly, and were never pushy while at the same time helping us to stay focused and make attractive bids. They were invaluable in helping us through the financing process as well - we can't recommend them highly enough. We ended up in a place and a neighborhood that we absolutely love, and at a price that worked for us - and we wouldn't have found it without their inside knowledge of the market. I'm sure that they have plenty of other clients on both the buy and sell side with larger budgets and the ability to make more aggressive offers than us, but we never felt as though we weren't their sole focus throughout the process. And, they were great about handling a fairly complicated closing (which was complicated in part to accommodate our schedule). We'll definitely be going back to them for any real estate needs in the future, and recommend that anyone else do so as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shianne and Tetiana: SOLD in 10 days for Over Asking with a 14-day Close! I have never had more energetic, creative, and "scrappy" agents as Tetiana and Shianne, and I've done 6 real estate transactions in the Bay Area- 2 as a seller. I had hired other agents from a large company who boasted about their being in the top 1% of agents and excellent at marketing, etc.. In my experience, some people are "great" when it's easy, but don't have the hustle mentality when it's a challenging market. Needless to say, I let them go and was getting ready to put my house up for rent. Thankfully, I was introduced to Shianne and Tetiana and decided to give them a chance to sell it. Their words to me were, "We're going to sell this house and you won't have to spend another dime." They worked tirelessly in selecting a new paint color for the front door and steps, buying flowers for the porch, pulling weeds, and adding special touches everywhere. They fixed a wobbly step, moved the staging around to showcase the space better, made signs for all of the fruit trees, flowers, and plants... I'm sure it was hours and hours of work and all at their expense. They saw which photo on the MLS was pulling in the most clicks and moved that to the first photo preview. They called no less than 8 brokers to understand the comps- they didn't just look up data. It was very detailed. They knocked on doors in the neighborhood, handed out flyers, took them to the neighboring businesses, and held a party for the community and featured the rosemary, lemons, and flowers from the backyard. They researched all of the available loans and programs to educate the potential buyers and brought in lenders for the open houses- they held 4 on two weekends with a twilight showing as well. They put out no less than 6 "For Sale" signs at the best intersections, did mailing and email campaigns, and communicated with me all of the activities shortly after they occurred. What a joy it was to meet Linnette and her team! Selling the home we had lived since 1987 and the home we had raised our children in was a bittersweet experience. Over the years there was alot of accumulated clutter and extensive renovation work was needed. Linnette and her crew foreman, Ignacio restored the unit to better-than-new.
